VOODOO Fetish Ball Weekend Schedule

Why not start your weekend with a little shopping spree in San Francisco's finest Fetish Boutiques?
May we suggest starting with STORMY LEATHER (Howard, between 7th and 8th) where on SATURDAY January 12th at 12 noon the TWO KNOTTY BOYS will be teaching one of their infamous Bondage Workshops from noon to 2pm (all workshop details in the next section of IQN #24).
Stormy Leather is located in THE GREAT FETISH TRIANGLE (no, that is not what we call a typical San Francisco relationship), where MR S LEATHER and the spectacular new MADAME S are located just a few blocks away in one direction (7th Street a half block South of Folsom), and San Francisco's Fetish Discount Store LEATHER ETC is located just a few blocks away in the other direction (corner of 8th and Folsom).

From beautiful and sensual to beautiful and excruciating, Japanese rope bondage is an art which has developed over centuries of martial and erotic practice. In this class, Midori will demonstrate a wide range of positions, including the harness, the hogtie, standing and bent-over poses. She'll explain how the ropes and knots are placed to achieve maximum effect. This class is based upon Midori's recently published book, The Seductive Art of Japanese Bondage, which is highly recommended as a reference text. Midori will be happy to autograph copies of her book, which is available for sale at QSM.
Demo Cost: $15/person. Doors open 12:30 PM. Demo Time: 1:00-3:00 PM.
THE WORKSHOP:
Here students will have the opportunity to practice the bondage positions while Midori gives individual feedback to each working couple. Please wear comfortable clothes that do not impede movement (tights, spandex, etc.). A large towel or yoga mat for the floor would be beneficial as well. Both novices and experienced players are welcome. There will be no genital
nudity.
Rope to bring: At least two 25' to 30' lengths of cotton or nylon rope. Approximately 1/3 to 1/2 inch diameter will do nicely. Bring more if you

Conflict Resolution in BDSM Relationships:
Conflict is an inevitable part of any healthy, authentic relationship. It is difficult enough to resolve in the context of vanilla sex, where inhibitions
about discussing sexuality and power imbalances can make it hard for people to speak their minds or figure out workable solutions. The participants in a role-based relationship bring all of their baggage about sexuality, gender, and intimacy, in addition to trying to function within the parameters of BDSM. It can be especially difficult for a bottom to speak up about their dissatisfaction with certain aspects of the relationship. And it is surprisingly difficult for some tops to focus on their own needs and put those on the relationship agenda. In this workshop, a therapist with eight years of experience doing couples counseling in various sexual minority communities will provide a constructive paradigm of relationship conflict and some practical tools for working out the kinks, so to speak, without
altering the polarized nature of the relationship.
Presenter Bio:
Patrick Califia is has been a leather community activist for more than 20 years. He is also the author of several fiction and nonfiction books and
articles about radical sex.In addition, he has a private practice as a therapist in the Bay Area.

Review: Club Enslaved in San Francisco

A chancy operation this one, risking an opening night on a location like BOYS TOYS, a well known strip club also recently known for shaky management that has landed the venue in stringent circumstances.
Well, I am happy to say that Bondage Diva Paige White managed to succeed where so many others would never have been able to pull it off. The grand opening of San Francisco's newest Fetish Fashion Fest, CLUB ENSLAVED hosted by Paige White, was a success. :)
At first the buzz before opening night seemed like pure puzzlement, wondering what a Fetish Club was going to be like at a strip club. Well, certainly anyone who had been in to BOYS TOYS knew that the location was classy enough, with it's clean, lounge downstairs and fine restaurant upstairs. Nonetheless, a strip club? Would there be S&M allowed? What would the shows be like?
Arriving at about 11pm, I was pleased to see a number of familiar faces entering at the same time. In fact, the attendance was almost a who's-who of the San Francisco Fetish Fashion world, and no wonder since the main show included fashions by Madame S, Stormy Leather, and Moral Minority. The host for the night was Fetish Supermodel Persephone, who simply relaxed and had fun with the audience. Before the show many people gathered upstairs in the restaurant while others enjoyed the downstairs bar area. More than anything else it was a highly social atmosphere of people dressed incredibly.
In addition to the fashion show, Persephone also hosted the costume contest. Suffice it to say one gentleman came dressed as a huge rubber zebra -- yes a zebra -- and he stole the show. Part of the judging included the various participants doing a pole dance, and the image of a giant rubber zebra dancing on the pole will be forever emblazoned on my mind. By the time he was finished, the entire audience was chanting, "ZEBRA! ZEBRA! ZEBRA!" Of course the prize was his. On a humorous note, this was his first Fetish Event ever -- somehow I think he became a convert that night. ;-)
After the shows the night drifted back into a pleasant evening amongst the various "Feteratti" of the local scene. Notable was that this event even drew people from Los Angeles, New York and Santa Cruz.
The only significant glitch in the night was when the shady management of BOYS TOYS decided to allow some of their non-fetish clad friends inside despite the contract they signed giving 100% control of the attendance to ENSLAVED. Needless to say these few gawkers (and thank god they were very few in number) stood out like a sore thumb and after being shunned eventually left. With true vigor and honor and a sincere desire to make the next CLUB ENSLAVED even better, Paige and company have sworn that they will not be using BOYS TOYS again for a variety of reasons, the letting in of non-Fetish Dress Code folks being one of them. Future plans also include a separate play area for S&M.
All in all an EXCELLENT start for CLUB ENSLAVED and I do not think I would be presumptuous to say I expect that a loyal and immaculately attired following for CLUB ENSLAVED will grow rapidly.
Hands down, I recommend this club for any serious Fetish Fashion Perv visiting San Francisco. Stay tuned to this channel for future announcements about the next CLUB ENSLAVED.

Report: Los Angeles Fetish Dinner

"The evening of November 25 found more than fifty charitable revelers decked
out in their fetish gear partying the night away at the Ivy Manor, home to
many of LA's most successful play parties.
The highlight of these parties as always, had to be the attendees and the
sexy outfits they wore to the event. The difference at this party was that
every penny raised at the event went to the relief fund, and what fun we had
raising it! Dancing was available downstairs to the sounds of DJ Wolfie &
Mr.M.
The rooms at the Ivy Manor were open to the partiers for semi-private play,
while one of the rooms was fully wired for webcast performances by Isabella
Sinclaire, Ilsa Strix & Sabrina Belladonna. Isabella opened the show with
her two slaves and a surprise 'baby powdering' treatment for mouse, who
wore a bib, bonnet & diaper as he served the tasty treats provided by guest
chefs Damon Bruner & David Trotter. Next Ilsa Strix needled her slave with a
butterfly board demonstration. Finally Sabrina did a turnabout is fair play
with Lisa (who was also pressed into service downstairs at the buffet) and
Odette. First one girl then the other was treated to a 2 on 1 domination.
Once the performances wound up, everybody crowded downstairs again to see
who won what at the raffle, the prizes being provided by Syren, Retail Slut,
Kink in the Caribbean, Christine Kessler, Pierre & Gary Silva, Dave Naz, &
Misa Martin."

"FYI, there's a new bar in Amsterdam that your readers might want to know about. We visited Club Jeux (http://www.jeux.nl/) about 3 weeks ago just after they'd opened. Nick and Annette are delightful people and Club Jeux is centrally located on a small street that runs off the south-east corner of Dam Square. They're worth putting in your database!"

There you have it. Amsterdam has a perpetual ebb and flow of Fetish establishments, some who became famous and then faded from view, some who sold out to the mainstream, some who were the buzz of Europe but only if you knew who to talk to. This one, Club Jeux, sounds like a fine one in the tradition of some of Amsterdam's better Fetish bars from years past. I know I will certainly want to check it out on my next visit. :)
