BR99 -- Washington D.C. area BDSM convention and dungeon party.
November 5,6, & 7, 1999. See the website www.br.org -- click on Special Events.

"The biggest dungeon party I've ever seen. Over 100 play stations, with areas set aside for waxing, medical play, schoolhouse play, sharps play, down time area with food and drink, a nice mix of vendors and a display from the Leather Archives. Usually sells out a couple of weeks before the event, so interested parties will have to step on it! The event hotel has been sold out of rooms for months, but they have blocks of rooms at hotels within 5 to 20 minutes of there and run a very efficient shuttle service from early in the day till the wee hours of the morning."

Diversions -- Dayton, Florida.
November 11, 12 & 13.
The website is http://www.Diversions.org.
"Tom And Linda Gayle Roberts run this event and it is very well put together. Smaller than the DC event, with a very personal touch throughout the weekend. Some unusual play equipment I have not seen elsewhere."

DR.E. National Geographic's First Fetish Fashion Cover, from S.R.
"I too was shocked when I saw it in my mailbox. I immediately flipped to the inside to get the scoop. Here is the caption from the same picture which is on the inside of the mag in a two page layout:
"SOPHISTICATED LADIES They're well-off, well educated, widely traveled, fluent in several languages. Nakshatra Reddy is a biochemist, married to a prosperous businessman in Mumbai (formerly Bombay). Her daughter Meghana (in a PVC catsuit of her own design) is a model and former host on the music video channel VTV. Another daughter models full-time, and a third works for Swatch, the trendy Swiss watchmaker. They are elites, and the global marketplace for goods, information, and style is their corner store."
(Ed. -- Now if that ain't good press for truly Global Fetish Fashion, then I ask you what is???) :-)
